The paper fell out of a songbook,
A second-hand one from e-bay.
He’d cut the letters out and glued them –
Somehow it seems so true that way.
“Ellie, I’m sorry,

The words may not be poetic
That doesn’t make them less than true.
I can fell the pain they carry
Because I’ve hurt someone too...
I’m sorry...

I really didn’t ever want to make you cry.
I truly wish I’d never ever made you cry...
